Our Community

God put us on this earth not just to sit in our enclave and worship and study, he called us to be "salt and light" to the world. That is, we are to be involved in the lives of people around us in practical ways. Jesus did not just sit on a mountain somewhere spouting words of wisdom. He was in the streets and homes, healing, counseling, helping and teaching. We believe that we should not simply GO to church, but we must BE the church by serving those around us.

NHC has recently started a series of work days in which we do jobs that are needed around Westboro, landscaping, cleaning, light construction, etc. We are constantly looking for ways to make a difference in our community. It is our intention that our church be a center of community service and involvement and that there always be an open door to the people of Westboro and the surrounding towns.
