About
Care and the love of knitting and crocheting have been combined into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort. The knitter begins each shawl with prayers for the recipient. Throughout the knitting process, prayers continue for the recipient. Then when the shawl is finally completed, it is prayed over and the person who will receive it is lifted up in prayer.
The shawls are used for many different things: for comfort after a loss, for prayer, to celebrate a marriage, to celebrate a newborn, for an illness or recovery, and much more.
The most important element of your prayer shawl consists of your thoughts and prayers for the recipient as you create it.

Do you like to knit or crochet? Would you like to learn? The Prayer Shawl Circle is a group that meets monthly to create prayer shawls for those in need. We can teach you how! We have free supplies for those unable to provide their own!
We hope you can join us, but if not, please consider dropping off a shawl. Yarn that is machine washable is preferred.
